Description & History

The Woodlawn Organization (TWO) is organized and operated for the improvement of the community and the enrichment of life in our modern society. TWO works for a well-ordered Society wherein there is genuine concern for the general welfare of all people without regard to race, color, religious creed, national origin, or social station. The object of TWO is the building up of community and the fighting of community deterioration through the fostering of sound and responsible housing, education, job training and employment, health, business, and other economic and governmental institutions. TWO is formed for the purpose of building and exercising community responsibility over the local, city-wide and nation-wide institutions and forces which affect the quality of urban life. Towards these ends of community betterment, two is organized and operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes including for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954 (or the corresponding provision of any future United States Internal Revenue Law.
